Me: Ehh, I've been here for a few months.
W: Could you tell us - is this the Mound?
M: Yep, this is it! (gesture)
W: Ok. Thank you very much.
...and then, I took the wrong street to Starbucks.

Okay, first, it gave me a little memory flash, then a little smile, a chuckle, a bit of embarrassment then I laughed myself to pieces.. I've been in the same situation - plus I got lost also and met the tourist group on my way trying to get back to where I had been. I never thought that this would be so funny written down. Thanks for writing this and for the laugh I had tonight!!
